7th sense pre booked for first five days in almost all theatres

Suriya's much awaited 7 Aum Arivu, which is all set to grace theatres on October 26, 2011 (Deepavali), has received tremendous pre booking response in Chennai. The advanced reservation for 7 Aum Arivu began on October 19, 2011 and almost all the theatres are fully booked for the next five days. 7 Aum Arivu is a sci-fi thriller in which Suriya plays a double role: a circus artist and Buddhist monk.

The story is said to revolve around a time machine brought to India by a scientist (Shruti Haasan). The film is also being dubbed in Hindi and Telugu. The film, which has cleared the Censors with a clean U certificate, has occupied almost all the theatres in Chennai releasing with more that 1000 prints. Suriya will sport the look of a Buddhist monk for only 20 minutes in the film. He will appear as a Tamil prince from Kancheepuram who travels to China and becomes a well-respected monk there. Director Murugadoss has done a lot of research on the role and sources who have seen the raw version of the film are amazed with Suriya's performance.

7th sense is a world class film says SURIYA

By now, we all know that Suriya will play the role of a Buddhist monk (Bodhidharma) in his much awaited 7 Aum Arivu, directed by A.R. Murugadoss. Interestingly Suriya will sport the look of a Buddhist monk for only 20 minutes in the film. Suriya will appear as a Tamil prince from Kancheepuram who travels to China and became a well-respected monk there. Director Murugadoss has done a lot of research  on the role and sources who have seen the raw version of the film are amazed with Suriya's performance. "Bodhidarma is an important personality in Buddhist history. Even today, his statutes are workshiped in many Shaolin temples across the globe. He is also know as Damo! 7 Aum Arivu is a very prestigious project in my career and I am really lucky to do this. This film will stand apart," Suriya said to Galatta.com.

Bharath Creations, which bagged the theatrical rights of upcoming Suriya starrer 7aum Arivu in North America, has also acquired the overseas rights for the Telugu version (The Seventh Sense) of the film. Both Tamil and Telugu versions will hit the screens on Deepavali.
A science fiction written and directed by A.R. Murugadoss with Suriya playing a double role and Shruti Haasan as the heroine, the film is produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin.
The story is said to be about a "super machine" brought to India. The film, made on a budget of Rs. 84 crores, is the most expensive film in Suriya's career till date.

Reportedly National award winning director Vettrimaran is planning to take Suriya as the hero in his next film, a big budget epic flick produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri's Cloud Nine Movies. According to sources, the director is currently finetuning the script.
Suriya is currently busy with Murugadoss' 7 Aum Arivu and K.V. Anand's Matraan. After that he is likely to team up with director Hari for an action flick. There are also reports that Telugu director Krish (of Gamyam and Vaanam fame) will make a bilingual with Suriya in the lead. So now it looks like every director is waiting for a chance to work with him.

SIVAPUTRUDU going to remade in Hindi

National award winning Tamil film SIVAPUTRUDU(Pithamagan) is likely to be remade in Hindi soon. Director Satish Kaushik, who has earlier remade Bala's Sethu with Salman Khan, has bagged the remake rights of the film. Though the starcast is not yet decided there are reports that Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan are likely to play the lead roles.
"I had seen Pithamagan on the big screen in 2003. I was moved by the story and especially the character played by Vikram. Since then I wanted to remake it and now I finally can," Kaushik said to a leading TV channel.

SURYA SIGNED NEW MOVIE WITH VENKAT PRABHU

Venkat Prabhu's may soon soon team up with Suriya for a thriller. Reportedly Suriya is impressed with a one-liner narrated by Venkat Prabhu and the actor has given his green signal for the project. Now the latest buzz is that Studio Green, owned by Suriya's cousin K.E. Gnanavel Raja, has signed Venkat Prabhu for their next venture. However the director is yet to decide the lead actor for the film.

Meanwhile there are also reports that the director may start his first 3D project, titled Neradi Oliparappu. Sources close to the director revealed that he has a a couple of scripts on hand, including Neradi Oliparappu. However, he will take a final call soon!
